This is the 2nd year for this ride!

Nancy & Ken Carlson are organizing this charity ride to raise funds and awareness for their son's disability, Fragile X Syndrome.

Nancy is a board member of the parent led Heartland Fragile X Alliance which serves families in Iowa and South Dakota,

The group is part of the National Fragile X Foundation's Community Support Network. It serves as a resource for professionals and parents. Through fundraisers, educational seminars and charitable donations, the group provides support for advocacy efforts for Fragile X causes and research and provides financial resources for families to access Fragile X clinics, like the University of Iowa's Center for Disease and Disabilities in Iowa City.

Route

This is a 56 mile bicycle ride with all proceeds benefiting Heartland Fragile X Alliance and The National Fragile X Foundation.

Registration is 8am-9am at the High Trestle Trail Head, next to the Ankeny Fire Station, 120 NW Ash Drive.  This ride is primarily on trails with some limited road riding.  We will ride to Mickey's Irish Pub at 50 SE Laurel St in Waukee for lunch.  We encourage you to stop at 515 Brewing Co at 7700 University Ave in Clive and Goodsons, 2815 Beaver Ave in Des Moines on the return trip.  The ride will end at Frietrucker Brewery, 716 SW 3rd St in Ankeny between 4 and 5pm.  Raffle tickets will also be available.
