Description

The Carl Voss Trail is currently one of the best connector trails in the Des Moines area.  It stretches 4.5 miles southeast from the confluence of the Principal Riverwalk and the Meredith Trail just south of Principal Park in downtown Des Moines and around Easter Lake.

Plans are in place to extend the trail to Carlisle where it will connect with the Summerset Trail that runs to Indianola.  When complete it will provide a critical link in the metro trail network.
