It's the ride before THE ride.
Members of theRegister's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa'spre-ride route inspection team made their way across Iowa June 6-13, ahead of this year's ride across the Hawkeye state.
It's ajourney that gives RAGBRAI organizers the chance to inspect the route up-close and meet with representatives of the towns through which it will pass.
This year the RAGBRAI route will take riders 454 miles across the state over seven days. The ride will begin on July 25 in Le Mars and finish July 31 in Clinton.
