This spring the Raccoon River Valley Trail will be getting some needed maintenance, with a focus on the 10-mile stretch between Adel and Redfield.
Starting this Monday, contractors will be conducting overlay and bridge repair projects on that section of the trail, which will result in closures with no defined detours. Dallas County Conservation Outreach Coordinator Ken Keffer says they’ll do everything they can to keep the public up-to-date on where work is being done. “It’s going to be a temporary inconvenience for sure, but it definitely has to be done once in a while.
