This is the 6th year for Bike to Work in Iowa. It's bigger and better than ever and we will be celebrating bicycling related events all month long! May 16th is the official "Bike To Work" day. Please join us each day from May 10th through May 16th for Bike to Work Week! With our trail systems expanding and our city officials passing resolutions to become more bike friendly, cycling to and from work has never been easier. The Bike to Work survey results have been used to get bike racks on metro buses, make trails connectors a priority, make bike lanes a reality, helped to get the city of Des Moines adopt Bicycle-friendly goals and got over 200 bike racks installed in the metro area. This is the way WE can make a difference! Check out Governor Culver's proclamation to proclaim that May 2008 is "Bike Iowa Month". Bike to Work Week Details Last year
