Just Plain Fun
Distance - five-and-a-half or 40 miles
SIANOMO (Southern Iowa & Northern Missouri) starts over the new 5 1/2-mile concrete Lamoni Recreational Trail. Riders may elect to turn back to Lamoni at this point or head for the hills. Minimal auto traffic in back country area. Several SAG stops with refreshments. Long run has challenging hills for those who dare. All roads lead to city park with hamburgers sizzling.
Route
Two new miles of cement-surfaced trail around scenic local lake added onto previous existing three-mile trail.
(Route #1) Riders may cover entire Trail and then head for Central Park.
(Route #2) After completing Trail, riders will pass through scenic Amish countryside over nearly 40 miles to end at Lamoni Central Park. No wusses on longer route.
