If you haven't heard about the 45 year old Urbandale mother of 4, Sarah Cooper and her Ultra-Cycling abilities then you need to get with the times my friend! She has been cleaning house in multiple events around the country.  Her accomplishments can be found here.  She has become quite used to not only winning but destroying men's and women's records. Best of all she does it with great humility and soft-spoken confidence. She lets her riding do the talking for her. This summer Sarah is going to be taking part in what is called the world's most difficult bicycle race, RAAM. The Race Across America. She is planning to cross the country in a mere 9 days. 9 days from Oceanside California to Annapolis Maryland! The hardest part? The clock keeps ticking, even when she sleeps. Most riders average about 90 minutes of sleep and pedal the other 22.5 hours through.  Sarah will need to maintain an approximate 14 mile per hour average for over 3000 miles! If that isn't to make you wonder if she's crazy, she needs to pay for her support team out of pocket. Her budget for the race is calculated at around $20,000. 60% of that she is paying for out of her pocket. This event is to support the GoFundMe campaign that was created to raise money for Super Coop. We want to see what Sarah can reallydo. We want to see her absolutely destroy RAAM. Come help us and have fun doing it!

Here is some of what Kyle's Bikes had to say about Sarah Cooper:

"This past summer she won Race Across the West (RAW), beating all female and male competitors with her time of 2 days, 11 hours, and 59 minutes on the 928-mile course.

She is preparing for next summer's Race Across America (RAAM)—a race of approximately 3000 miles from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland. RAAM is one of, if not *the* toughest endurance event in the world, offering long-distance cyclists the opportunity to challenge themselves to the height of their abilities. Only a few hundred cyclists have completed solo RAAM since its first edition in 1982.

Although the race is frequently compared to the Tour de France, the clock runs continuously from start to finish rather than the race being divided into daily stages. And it's approximately 30% longer. Solo winners complete the course in under 9 days, and winning teams complete the journey in less than 6 days."
