More low-lying roads, parks and trails will close over the next few days due to an updated river crest projection.

The National Weather Service updated its projected river crest to just under 17 feet, and that will occur on June 25.

The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department said park and trail facility closures will include:

  • Prairie Park Fishery, walking loop access and river boat ramp access closed
  • Cheyenne Dog Park, closed at Cedar Bend Road
  • Cedar Valley Nature Trail, closed between the Solid Waste Agency and Tait Cummins trailhead
  • Cedar Valley Nature Trail, closed from 8th Avenue to 12th Avenue
  • Ellis Trail, closed between Edgewood Road and Ellis Harbor
  • Ellis Manhattan Pavilion, closed
  • Ellis Robbins Lake Road, closed
  • Ellis Harbor Road, closed to the river boat ramp
  • Mohawk Boat ramp, closed
  • Seminole Valley Park, closed
  • Sac & Fox Trail, closed
