A section of trail near the Industrial Park development will be closing on Thursday, June 11, to allow for a contractor to complete road improvements adjacent to the trail.
The trail closure runs from Pleasant St NE to NE 88th St, as depicted on the map shown below.
The trail is projected to reopen Monday, June 22, or when weather conditions permit. The reopening will be published here or on the City of
Bondurant Facebook page.

BIKEIOWA NOTE #1 - DETOURS - no word on an official detour. if we were riding this portion toward the East, we'd ride the trail to Pleasant Street NE, take a right for a block, turn left on 2nd St NE and continue across Hubbell Road on to NE 88th to the old original trailhead (NE 88th not marked on the map, but first left after crossing Hubbell) . Same for the return trip. (

BIKEIOWA NOTE #2 - NEW CROSSING - We rode this part a week ago and it looks like there will be a new road crossing the trail in the middle of the North/South section West after you parallel Hubbell Road. We are not sure if this is a housing, apartment or business development, but traffic is something to watch in this area in the future.
