Site work has begun on the $6.5 million brewery project on about 6 acres in northwest Waukee.
Plans for the development, which has received all of the necessary city approvals to move forward, include a brewery, an outdoor plaza with a place for food trucks, a dog park and connections to the Raccoon River Valley Trail. Eventually the venue could include a restaurant and other amenities.
