Our friend Carl Voss is running for Des Moines City council.

Carl is a DSM Bicycle Collective co-founder, a LONG-TIME bike advocate through thick and thin, Ragbrai verteran, Bike Week/Month Organizer, Bike Builder and a generous volunteer.

BIKEIOWA has worked with Carl Voss on numerous projects over the last 20 years. We support him and we ask that you join us as we join him in the Iowa State Fair Parade!

BIKEIOWA endorses Carl Voss for a spot on the Des Moines City Council

Carl Voss is one of seven candidates running for an at-large seat on the Des Moines City Council.

Voss has experience in the position. Heserved as the Ward 4 councilman in an interim position several years ago.

Now retired, Voss spent the majority of his year career in publishing.He's a co-founder of the Des Moines Bicycle Collective.

The seat is currently held by Chris Coleman, who is not seeking reelection. Coleman has served on the council for 21 years.

The at-large seat represents the entire city.

The other candidates running for the seat areMarlu Abarca, Marco Battaglia, Jacquie Easley, Sheila Knoploh-Odole, Marlon Mormann andEthan Standard.

The election is Nov. 5.
