PedalArt Poster Show: Call for Artists

May 4th, 5-10pm, Confluence Brewing Co.
Hosted by the Des Moines Bicycle Collective

EVENT SUMMARY
The PedalArt Show is Bike Month's largest and most popular event, with anywhere from 400-600 guests in attendance. The show is a celebration of local artists and their love of cycling.

30+ artists will be selected to create original, bike themed posters for display/sale, which will hang/remain up for sale the entirety of Bike Month (May 2018).

SUBMISSION
Please send 3-5 samples of your best work to lauren@dsmbikecollective.org with the subject line “PedalArt 2018 [Last Name]” for review.
Chosen applicants will be notified Thursday, March 1st of their being selected.

+ Application Deadline: midnight, Saturday February 20th
+ Application cost: FREE*
+ All artists in and around the Des Moines metro area may submit work for consideration

*Sale of first print will go directly to the nonprofit, the Des Moines Bicycle Collective for programming

SHOW INFO
+ Artists will be required to provide 31 prints (1 display, 30 sale)
+ Artist will receive 60% commission for each poster sold
+ Prints will be sold for $35
+ Work will be hung and available for sale throughout Bike Month 2018
+ The Des Moines Bicycle Collective will promote the artists/ event on their website and social media (FB/Instagram)
+ Admission to this event is FREE, so invite all your friends
+ The show will be taking place the day of the Bike Month Kick Off party as well as the first Handlebar Happy Hour, so this is an INCREDIBLE opportunity for exposure
