FRANKLIN COUNTY: The board of supervisors has voted to support a plan to turn the old railroad right-of-way from Coulter to Allison into a multi-use trail. A grant for 70% of the cost of the land has been obtained, but other funds will have to be raised to install the surface. There is also some disagreement on whether the trail should stop at Beeds Lake or continue to Coulter. If a casino is built near Interstate 35, that part of the Rolling Prairie Trail could be important. Source: http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=12661748&BRD=1907&PAG=461&dept_id=133418&rfi=6
