DES MOINES —The Iowa Bicycle Coalition is sponsoring an online Best of Iowa Bicycling contest to determine which trails, restaurants and bike clubs are the best in the state.
Voting continues to Jan. 20 atwww.iowabikeexpo.comandwww.iowabicyclecoalition.org.
There are 32 categories, from best bicycle shop to best bicycle breakfast destination. Some categories are write-ins and some are selected from business members of the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.
Winners will be announced at the Iowa Bike Expo or the RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party on Jan. 23 in Des Moines.
There will also be a Best Iowa Bicycling Jersey Contest, hosted by Primal Wear, during the route announcement party Jan. 23. To enter, email a photo of your original custom-designed jersey tobikeinfo@iowabicyclecoalition.org. Finalists will model their jerseys at the party, with winners selected by audience applause.
