FERTILE | A bicyclist was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa by helicopter after being struck by a pickup around 10:30 a.m. Thursday west of Fertile.
The female bicyclist was traveling west on 340th Street when she was struck by the pickup, which was going north on Balsam Avenue, according to Trooper Nathan Snieder from the Iowa State Patrol.
