Hundreds of cycling fanatics came to the Iowa Events Center to find out which towns RAGBRAI will cycle through.
Starting
from the west and going east, they are: Rock Valley, Okoboji,
Emmetsburg, Forest City, Mason City, Waverly, Independence, and
Guttenberg.
It's been a bike lovers dream this weekend at the Iowa Bicycle
Summit, all the excitement building up to this announcement, and now
there's plenty to get ready for.
For everything cycling this weekend, Iowans came to the Iowa Bicycle Summit.
Avid cyclists say Iowa is only becoming more friendly to two wheels.

Vendors
advertised what's new in the ever growing Iowa bike community. Rolling
around in the new models, each one turning casual riders into
enthusiasts.
A major selling pitch here is to buy what you need and get riding, so you can be ready come RAGBRAI.
"The
trail connections, being green, the carbon footprint; all that has lent
to bicycling becoming more popular. Obviously RAGBRAI put Iowa on the
map long ago, long before we were ever cyclists," says Scott Sumpter
from BikeIowa.com.
RAGBRAI brings big business to some of these
small towns across Iowa. So this isn't just a fun time for these
cyclists at the party, but people in towns like Rock Valley and Forest
City have to be cheering as well.
