A central Iowa girl with cerebral palsy is a bit more independent after receiving a gift.

Nine-year-old Suzanna Soe was given a brand new specialized bike Wednesday.

Variety, The Children’s Charity, presented it to her right before the Iowa Cubs game Wednesday afternoon.

It didn’t take long for Suzanna to get the hang of the bike. The bike is designed to keep from tipping, so riders don’t fall.

Suzanna’s physical therapist say the bike has another major benefit.

“It will have a great impact on her ability to walk independently for longer distances. She can for short distances now but once she gets stronger from biking it will have an incredible impact on her whole life, says Kim Williams.

One of Varietys’ missions is to provide the expensive bikes to families who can’t afford them.
