Stole this littel blurb from the Raccoon River Valley Trail Facebook Page as it is too good not to repost!

Mike Wallace, the Dallas County Conservation director and the coordinator of the Raccoon River Valley Trail new "north loop" project, reports paving reached the town of Dawson about 7 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, 5/7/13).

Jasper Construction workers are shown in this photo putting down the last few feet of concrete coming into Dawson from the west.

This current project has included paving from the Guthrie-Dallas County line east to Dawson, and the concrete surface is now done from Dawson to Jamaica. It won't be open for public use, however, until shoulder work is completed and signage is erected.

Last piece of the north loop project remaining is paving the two miles from Herndon east to Jamaica, and that'll be happening in the next few days.

It will be ALL DONE IN TIME for the North Loop Grand Opening on June 1st in Perry!
