Wow! Awesome News!

Big construction equipment is now rolling in little Herndon and Jamaica, meaning the last pieces of the new north loop of the Raccoon River Valley Trail will be completed in weeks.

As soon as the new stretch of trail is open, there are going to be more tourists pedaling into these towns than they’ve ever had there before! It’s an exciting time for trail users and for our trail towns in west central Iowa.

Once completed, the RRVT will be an 89-mile paved trail system, with an interior 72-mile loop.
