A popular restaurant with an unforgettable name is rebuilding after a fire in July.

A new roof is being added on the Gigglin' Goat restaurant at 628 Story St. in Boone.

A fire started in the attic of the building on July 13. The building suffered heavy smoke and water damage.

It housed a restaurant, club and reception hall.

A sign in the window reads "Re-opening SOON!"

BIKEIOWA NOTE

The Gigglin' Goat has been a bicycle-friendly bar for years, and has catered to RAGBRAI at least once. We are glad they are rebuilding and look forward to pedaling there next summer!
