Vermont leads week one of Natl Bike Challenge. Iowa in 6th

The Iowa Goes By Bicycle Challenge started on May 1 and there are 368 riders from Iowa participating.

This contest is part of the National Bicycle Challenge and Iowa is in 6th place. Wisconsin was the favorite in the race, but they were just beat out by Vermont. Also coming on strong is Nebraska. I think we have a secret weapon in Iowa during that great big bike ride in July.

Start logging your rides either online or with the smartphone app. Jamie Shae, Paul Prentice, Jeff Cozad, Caleb Lundberg, and Paul Black have the top 5 places in Iowa. ACT, University of Iowa, Retired, ESCO Electric, and Bicycle Surplus are the top 5 businesses. Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Spirit Lake, and Des Moines-West Des Moines are the top 5 communities.
