Hey RAGBRAIer's. If you can ride a bike for 35 minutes, you can easily do this! The 3rd annual Carousel Volkswagen Jingle Cross Rock is set for Saturday Nov 25th and Sunday Nov 26th at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Iowa City. This is a cyclocross event which is the most exciting spectator friendly form of bike racing you'll ever see. Come out and see U.S. Tour de France Rider Chris Horner from the Belgian team Davitamon-Lotto race here in Iowa in the Men's Elite field. I am also writing this to get YOU to come out and try this fun form of bike racing. Think about this for a minute...It's funny how recreational runners will run a 5k fun run at the drop of a hat but recreational bikers get nervous about doing the same idea in biking. The beginners ride is only 35 minutes, no matter how many laps you ride. You can go at whatever pace you want! You don't have to race it, just ride it and you'll help raise money for the Children's Hospital of Iowa. You also may even win some of the $13,000 in cash and another $3,000 in prizes we have up for grabs. There's a bonus drawing for our recreational/beginners riders just to get you guys out there.
