Update from Team Checker... People on Ragbrai heard about Jack Kramer and his wreck on Ragbrai on Monday. Update on injured - Team Checker - Jack Kramer - At He is currently at the Madonna Rehab Center in Lincoln NE 402-483-9658, which is room L58 His cell phone number is 402-984-1940. Jack has physical therapy twice a day and occupational therapy twice a day. He will not return home to Hastings NE for awhile, no weight on leg for 6 weeks. Jack Kramer and Renae Jergens had a wreck on the railroad tracks just outside of Wall Lake on Monday of Ragbrai. Both were taken by ambulance to Sac County Hospital. Renae was treated and released that day for a broken collar bone. She went home from Ragbrai on Wednesday. Jack didn't fair as well he broke his hip in 3 places and had to be taken to Lincoln by ambulance from the Sac County Hospital. He had surgery and pins placed. He did get released from the hospital yesterday but will be in a wheel chair for at least 6 weeks. He knows lots of people from Ragbrai. Everyone knows him as the gentle giant, he is over 7 feet tall. People would recognize him in the beer gardens doing the dance "Strokin". He is a professor at the college in Hastings,NE.
