Geoff's Bike and Ski located at 816 S. Gilbert St., in Iowa City is open for business.

Racquet Master Bike & Ski, which has called 321 South Gilbert St. home for 25 years, will relocate and split its racquet sports and bike and ski operations.
Owner Craig Carney said disagreements about the lease, problems with space, and inadequate parking convinced him to sell his business and move to the Rebel Plaza retail center., about a half-mile west of his current location. Even with the move, Carney is nervous about losing business.
"I'm concerned that people will come here and not see me here. If (customers) can't find me, they might go elsewhere," he said.
The bike and ski portion of Carney's business will move later this month to 816 S. Gilbert St., where it will be operated by Carney's former employee, Geoff Perrill. The store will be called Geoff's Bike and Ski.
