Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation awarded nearly $2 million in its annual grant ceremony Tuesday night.

According to the non-gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino Jefferson, GGCGC allocated $1,958,000, including over $1 million in competitive grants. Four projects were awarded over $100,000 as part of the competitive grants, with the highest amount going to the Greene County Fair Association and the Greene County Conservation Board in a four year pledge of $125,000. The projects that were highlighted with the Fair Association is a multi-phase process to continue to update the fairgrounds and the Conservation Board is looking to repave a portion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail.
