Bright and early last Friday, the Moore Elementary School bike bus headed down Urbandale Avenue with a colorful flag and a fleet of kids heading to school on two wheels.
Why it matters: Parents are trying to encourage more physical activity and a fun way of getting to school rather than waiting in a congested car drop-off line.
State of play: Moore Elementary's bike bus program launches Wednesday after several weeks of piloting the route and adjusting the schedule.
- The program run by several parents allows kids to more safely bike to school, which is within a 2-mile radius for many students. Around 15 people are expected.
