Beginning this afternoon (Oct 3rd) , there will be a section of the trail closed near Waukee, southeast of the T Ave crossing.
There will be a temporary trail to get around the closure (see map).
This construction project is due to the future Douglas Ave connection. There will be a box culvert constructed under the busy street for trail users to proceed safely through.
The detour will be in place until next spring when the box culvert can be completed and new trail paved.
If you are riding this area, please proceed with caution as there will be a lot of construction going on.
