Riding on the Edge is a new bicycle shop that specializes in adventure sports equipment, supplies, and service. They are located in Uptown Ankeny a block away from the High Trestle Trail

We offer biking and adventure sports equipment, supplies, and service! We will not sell an item we do not personally enjoy using. We carefully select the brands and products we carry for quality and value and stand 100% behind what we sell.

We cannot wait to have you visit our store in beautiful uptown Ankeny, Iowa where we encourage you to touch, feel, and test ride before you buy! We are one block from the High Trestle Trail, and we are the headquarters for adventure sports fun and boredom busting.

We support and encourage all forms of adventure…. from a ride across the country to a ride across town.

We have been creating unique rides (The Turkey Roll- The Santa Sleigh Ride and the 2021 News Year Ride) around Ankeny using the Komoot App for turn-by-turn navigation to give a fun image as your route is completed. We hope to host a few community rides this spring and summer. We plan on being very involved in the cycling community!

Owners

Terri and Jerry Turnbull, both active in the motocross racing community, saw an opportunity in the bicycle industry with pedal assist bicycles and started Riding on the Edge. Terri came up with the name as they wanted something "edgy".

They want to become the place to go if you are a cyclist looking for best in class products, a cyclist looking for world class services at a fair price. They want to help educate new riders about how to maintain their equipment and our trails systems. They really believe that cycling IS fun and that the experience takes on many different forms for different riders who chose to engage in it.
