Distance - under 200 niles drive time

The 2004 Midwest Regional Bike-Ped Conference is being held with the theme "Connecting Communities Through Better Design." Some of the leading experts in the country will be presenting at the conference, including Andy Clarke, League of American Bicyclists, Bill Wilkinson of National Center for Bicycling and Walking, Mark Fenton of the Pedestrian and Bicycling Information Center and Bruce Landis of Sprinkle Consulting, and many others. The conference is scheduled from Thursday, March 18 (noon) through noon on Saturday, March 20 at the Doubletree Hotel in Overland Park.

Route

As far as we know, this conference is the first of its kind to be held in this area and provides a great opportunity to network with other communities and talk with some of the leaders of community design for bike-ped. This is a great opportunity to become involved and find out more about how to make cycling better in your community.
