Party Ride
Distance - 100
A great ride through several really cool towns including Dewar, Dunkerton, Fairbanks, Hazelton, Aurora, and camping in Lamont (aproximately 6 miles from the Backbone State Park-hence the name). 50 miles each day. Lots of great fun. Camping in Lamont Boy Scout Park which has enclosed shelter and showers--cool park! SEVERAL bars in lamont (if you remember from Ragbrai last year). This ride in put on by the Rainbow Cycllist from Waterloo. I don't have all the official information, but The Road Pirates have taken our bus for 4 years now and had a ball!!! So, if anyone from Des Moines needs a ride out, we will probably have some space. Thanks for comin' out!
