Just Plain Fun
Distance - 40 or less
A legendary 24 or 40 mile ride of various terrain and surfaces with many fun stops, live music, bull riding rodeo along the way. Camping is permitted at Lion's Park (west side of swim pool) on Friday and Saturday nights. Wild Zydeco music by Were Late and Smell Like Beer in Gilman from 6:00-10:00 p.m.
Route
West on 11th Ave to trail- follow trail to Rock Creek. Trail ends and ride continues on road to Laurel, then Gilman, back to Grinnell. Or trail to T-38 then north to Gilman and back the same way. Bring a map if needed. There is no gravel just various paved roads after the trail. The best twilight route back from Gilman, so have lights.
