Rails-to-Trails Conservancy along with our friends at Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and other partners will gather with all types of trail users ... bicyclists, hikers, runners, walkers and everyone who loves trails to send a clear message to Iowa's lawmakers: We want trails!

Right now, the state legislature is debating trail funding, including how best to leverage the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund to invest in trails. Millions of dollars are at stake for trails, including the Great American Rail-Trail, the cross-country route that traverses Iowa and will connect the state to the nation like never before.
Iowa faces an unprecedented opportunity to make wise investments in trails and help connect communities across the state—but some legislators are skeptical that Iowans care about trails. That's why legislators need to hear from people like you!
