Bike Run Bike is an annual race hosted by Dr. Fitzgerald & Associates as a fundraiser for concussion management in the Eastern Iowa community. Active Evolution Studio powered by Dr. Fitzgerald & Associates provide free baseline concussion testing to athletes in the corridor area and treat multiple athletes a day suffering from concussion. All proceeds from registration cover the cost of the race and raise funds to support the treatment of concussion, prevention and education.

Route

35 mile BRB: Cycle the Cedar Valley Nature Trail from the Timber Dome Lodge in Solon to Ely City Park in Ely, IA. Participants will rack their bikes at Ely City Park and complete a 3.1 mile run going north on the trail. This will be an out and back marked with orange flags and stakes. Upon finishing the run, participants will mount their bikes and ride back to the Timber Dome Lodge where they will complete the race.
A very small portion will be on Polk Ave where the trail is not yet finished.

18 mile BRB: Bike west on Lake Macbride trail for approximately 4 miles. This is an out and back, so you will turn around at the 4 mile marker and return to the Timber Dome Lodge. Rack your bike and complete the 1 mile run around the softball diamonds. When finished with the run, you will do another set of the out and back bike.
