Trail Ride

Distance - Up and Down Mt. Trashmore

This Mini Challenge will take place on October 5th from 1-4pm. (Rain Date: October 6th 9am-Noon). This event is open to the public as a kickoff for the 2020 Mt. Trashmore Challenge Event. Celebrate the beauty of the view from the top with friends, while supporting a local community-building non-profit. Experience the variety of trails by walking, running or biking.

Registration for the 2020 Mt. Trashmore Challenge will officially open this day. Early Registration for the Mt. Trashmore Challenge will be $25, full price $35 (May 2020). T-shirt available on-site after completing a trip up Mt. Trashmore. (Several routes available - walk, run or bike)


Take the 2020 Mount Trashmore Challenge: Get in shape, have fun and check out one of Cedar Rapids’ newest destinations! The Mt. Trashmore Challenge (May-October 2020) will be the goal of climbing our local treasure Mt. Trashmore 140 times—a distance equal to ascending Mount Everest! The distance will be recorded via Mt. Trashmore Challenge phone app. (more details coming soon) For each milestone you make, celebrate by enjoying the breathtaking view from the top as well as perks from local businesses.

Mt. Trashmore sits at the edge of the Czech Village and New Bohemia neighborhoods. Stop by after your fitness goals for refreshing drinks, tasty dishes and local shopping - all while supporting local community development through The District Czech Village - New Bohemia Main Street Program.
