Mark your calendars! The Capital Striders Annual Dinner is Friday, March 23rd! We are super excited about our speaker this year, Sarah Cooper!

Doors open at 6pm for social hour, 7pm dinner.

The meeting includes dinner (chicken, pork, or vegetarian options), one complimentary drink ticket, socializing with other runners, a presentation with Capital Striders club updates, awards, and an engaging, inspiring speaker.


About Sarah Cooper
Sarah Cooper is an Iowan mother of 4 with an amazing talent for and dedication to ultracycling. She was the overall winner of the 928.4 mile Race Across The West in 2016, and in 2017 the 45 year old crossed the finish line as the first female (9th overall) in the 3,070.28 mile Race Across America. The Race Across America is commonly regarded as the world's toughest bicycle race and she completed it in 11 days, 18 hours, 56 minutes. Sarah competed in triathlons before turning her focus to the bike and now owns numerous course records. She is also a race director and sure to inspire you with the stories of her adventures, how she got started, and how she continues to motivate and challenge herself and others.
