Description

Road

Distance - The total distance will be 28 miles.

We will begin in the Harlan Hy-Vee parking lot, 2003 Chatburn Ave. Check in is 8:30am-9:30am.  This recreational ride is a road ride with safety support and signage. We will be riding to The Shelby County Golf Course, Troy’s Bar and Grill in Earling, then the Clubhouse in Westphalia, and back to the Harlan Hy-Vee.  We will have a celebration at the conclusion of the ride at the Lounge in Harlan (riders are welcome to finish at this location).  We are doing this ride poker run style; each rider will receive a card for each stop, the best 5 card hands will win prizes (each hand will be drawn at the celebration site, no cheating, the worst may win also).  Our support will be set up with deadlines, though these will be set at an easy pace with time for stopping, a 6 hour ride with a total of 28 miles.  Our post ride celebration and prize hand out will start at 3:30. 

Route

Our ride will be Harlan to Earling, then Westphalia, and back to Harlan.  We will be riding less traveled county roads.

$20 Registration

Included with registration is support and food at the finish.  There will also be great drink specials at our       break/stops.  All proceeds from our event will be split three ways; The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, the Shelby County Trails (so we can do this ride as a trail ride someday soon), and the Juvenile diabetes research foundation.
