Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds is on the hunt for pecan pie — although since she’s on her first RAGBRAI and she’s well aware of most Iowa grandmothers’ baking talents, she’ll take any flavor she can get.
Reynolds joined her brothers Troy and Doug Strawn as well as her nephews and a few other friends on her first RAGBRAI Wednesday morning, hoping to ride the whole day from Ames past the Capitol in Des Moines.
“I have been wanting, honestly, to do this for a really long time and it's just really hard with my schedule to get it done,” she said, having a quick cup of coffee before the ride.
