Decorah-based, Toppling Goliath Brewing Co is Iowa's largest brewery and many beer aficionados make the trek to Decorah for special release events and their beers are well known in the craft beer world.
Toppling Goliath has earned a formidable reputation in the craft beer scene for its mastery of hazy beers and barrel-aged stouts. Pseudo Sue and its imperial counterpart, King Sue, stand out as iconic hazy pale ales, celebrated for their juicy hop profiles and cloud-like appearance. On the other end of the spectrum, Toppling Goliath's barrel-aged stouts, exemplified by legendary releases such as Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout and Assassin, showcase the brewery's expertise in crafting rich, complex, and sought-after dark brews, solidifying its status as a powerhouse in the world of craft beer.

Clark and Barbara Lewey founded Toppling Goliath Brewing Company in 2009 in beautiful Decorah, Iowa after a runaway success in home brewing. In less than a decade, Toppling Goliath has become world-renowned for IPAs and barrel-aged stouts. They distribute in 30 states and create more than 40 beers that rotate throughout the year.
TG Awards
Named 2021 US Beer Open Grand National Champions Toppling Goliath has been recognized for the quality of its beer by countless festivals and craft beer groups, and has been named the #2 brewery in the world by Beer Advocate. Our barrel-aged stout, Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout, has held the title of #1 beer in the world since 2015.
TG has received Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze
awards in The World Beer Championships, US Open Beer Championship and the US Open Hard Seltzer Championship.
