A Sioux Center woman died after injuries that she sustained after being struck by an SUV when riding her bicycle near Hull, Iowa.
The Sioux County Sheriff said 69-year-old Lorna Moss was riding her bike a little before 6 p.m. Friday night on Hickory Avenue when a Dodge Grand Caravan that was driven by 27-year-old Seth DeJong of Doon struck the bicycle from behind.
Moss was pronounced dead at Sioux Center health.

"Upon further investigation, deputies suspected that De Jong was under the influence of alcohol. De Jong was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with homicide by vehicle caused by operating while intoxicated and homicide by vehicle caused by reckless driving."
