Cedar Rapids will play host tothe 22nd Annual Paired Iowans Going Somewhere (PIGS) Tandem Bicycle Rally,August 12-14.
25 tandem bicycle teams will be part ofseveral group rides throughout the weekend.
Here is the schedule:
- Friday, August 12 around 7:30 p.m. – Stop at Great American Popcorn Company, 1101 3rdSt SE. *This is likely the best chance to get large group of the tandem bicycles together.
- Saturday, August 13 around 8:30-9 a.m. – At their own pace ride leaves from Comfort Inn,2025 Werner Ave. NE,through Cedar Rapids with a stop at Brucemore to view the Overalls All Over statue.
PIGS on tandem bicycles is a club of friends that meet annually for a 3-daytandem bicycle group ride at various locations all over the state of Iowa.The family-friendly club is open to all adult ages and allows child/teen riders with parents.
