Greeting TAB participants & potential riders! This is simply an update for you to chew on for the time being! Below are a few tidbits of information you may find helpful with respect to Track and Back. Early Bird Registration Closes Tomorrow Tomorrow is the last day to register at the $60.00/$50.00 levels. If you or your riding friends haven't registered yet, now is the time to do it to save some $$$. After tomorrow, the entry fee will be $75.00 for the Long Course and $65.00 for the Short. Also tomorrow is the last day to mail in a check as well. Only online registration or "day of the event" registration will be available from Thursday on. If you know people thinking about it, give them a nudge! Day of the Event Registration Available Participants can show up the day of the event from 6:00am - 7:30am at the El Bait Shop parking lot to register. Riding will start promptly at 8:00am. Also, if you intend to register the day of the event for the short course, you can do so just outside the Iowa Speedway just off of Rusty Wallace Dr. You will see signs showing you the way. Short course registration will be open at the Speedway from 11:00 - 1:00pm. There is no set departure time from the Speedway for the short course. Short course riders can depart the Speedway any time between 11:00am and 1:30pm. Website Update & Participant Q&A Very soon our website will have a few updates including a Participant Information page. On this page, you will find a number of "things to know, rules we'll need to follow and other pertinent information specific to TAB. As always, if you have any questions whatsoever, do not hesitate to contact us via the website or call Kevin at 515-419-1197. Happy to help out in any way! Keep your eye out for these update to happen shortly! Post Ride Celebration Once you arrive back at El Bait Shop from your ride, you will be encouraged to sit back and relax for a while. El Bait Shop is serving a BBQ dinner that all ride participants receive as part of their entry and participation. There will also be beverages for you to enjoy from H20 to around 100 beers on tap! In addition, beginning at 5:00pm, a local bluegrass band called Mr. Baber's Neighbors will be playing for you to enjoy! They're awesome and will definitely have you tapping your toes! If you haven't been to El Bait Shop, there is plenty of inside seating as well as a large outdoor patio for you to enjoy! Lastly, we will have a bike corral for you to store your bike in while you enjoy BBQ and bluegrass. We will have everything entirely enclosed with attendants working the corral for your bike's safety! There will also be prizes to be won during this celebration! Bike World has donated a bike and several other companies around the metro area have donated items ranging from a new golfing driver to gift certificates to local restaurants. Every participating rider gets one entry with there registration. This celebration is open to the public so if you have friends or family that would like to join you after your ride, tell them to come on down to El Bait Shop! Non-riding participant can pay a modest $5.00 for the BBQ dinner. Weather Looking Good! If you're on the fence because of weather, as of today, things look very good! 80 degree temperatures with overcast will be great for keeping cool and strong during the ride. We're pushing this heat out the door right in time for a great day of riding! Thanks for your interest in Track and Back! We're looking forward to a great event and hope you are too! Expect another update later this week as well as updates on the website! In the meantime, beat the heat and enjoy your day! Kevin Tiffany Track and Back Co-Chair 419-1197
