Get out your bikes and join us for the Bill Riley Memorial Bike Ride held in conjunction with the Riverbend Rally on Saturday, June 30, 2012, 3:00 p.m., in Iowa Falls. Registration begins at 2:00 p.m. at The Spoken Wheel Cyclery, 420 Washington – Iowa Falls.  Your $5 recommended donation will go toward recreational trails in Hardin County.  Checks should be made payable to the Hardin County Recreational Trails Committee. Bring your waiver and donation to the Spoken Wheel Cyclery between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.  For more information contact Tyler at the Spoken Wheel Cyclery at (641) 648-2924. Course Highlights: The Spoken Wheel Cyclery, Estes Park, Bill Riley Bandshell, Riverbend Rally Carnival, Riverbend Rally Food Vendors, Ellsworth Community College, Rock Run Elementary School, Siloam Springs, Siloam Avenue, The Iowa River, Alden Dam, Alden Gazebo Riverbend Rally Highlights for June 30, 2012 Carnival at Estes Park, Food Vendors at Estes Park, Adult Beverage Garden with Musical Entertainment, 8:00 p.m. Destination:  Alden!  Bobby’s Westside in Alden will have a meal available for purchase for those who want to stop for something to eat.

Route

The route will start at The Spoken Wheel Cyclery at 420 Washington in Iowa Falls, and continue west on Washington to Main Street (2 1/2 blocks), north (Rt.) to North Street (10 blocks), west (L) to College Street (1 block), north (Rt.) to Siloam Avenue (turns into F-33), west (L) and north to County Line Road (C-73), and south (L) on S-25 into Alden. The 22-mile out-and-back course will wind through city streets, on blacktop, and near the main hub of the Riverbend Rally. Please stay on the marked route – follow the arrows! Services are not available to you if you are off the route. Ride is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ride is scheduled rain or shine – no rain date.
