Fox Ridge Filth Ride; A Gravel & Dirt Road Expedition by Bicycle
Sunday, Oct.6 @ 10AM
Starts/Ends at Fox Ridge Winery, located northwest of Traer, Iowa. (1465 L Ave, Traer). *Park in the large mowed lot across the road from the winery - look for the old silo*
Back for another foxy, filthy foray into Tama County gravel and dirt roads…piggybacking the ride again this year off of Fox Ridge’s Fall Festival date, so there will be food, drinks, live music, and other festivities going on there after your ride. 50 miles (or 25, 35, 75, or 100) of gravel and dirt road riding… includes some new and some “classic” FRFR roads. A bit less hilly route this year, and surely it won’t be in the 90s again! All routes pass through Traer, where there are food/drink options available.
This year, all routes include the infamous Salt Creek crossing on O Avenue, the best-worst B road creek crossing around (can be easily by-passed….see below for more on that). All routes are together through mile 18, and the 35 & 50 are the same until mile 28 in Traer.
