Distance - 35.2 miles (17.6 one way)
Rock 'n' Ride will be held on July 9, 2016. Embark on a 17.6 mile bicycle ride that includes easy, flat highway and
rolling hills on a scenic route between Washington and Riverside, Iowa.
This ride is open to anyone, cancer event supporters with little biking
experience to avid bikers. Support vehicles will be available if you
find yourself needing assistance along the way. Make sure to enjoy rest
areas along the route that will provide snacks, water, bathrooms, and
live music. You will have the option to end your ride at Riverside, or
make the return trip back to Washington for a 35.2 mile round trip
experience. Starting at Riverside is an option as well for those who
want to complete just the Riverside to Washington portion of the ride.
A celebration for all ages will commence back in Washington, including
lunch and family activities. This is a day full of opportunities for
everyone, with all net proceeds benefiting the University of Iowa Holden
Comprehensive Cancer Center. Come enjoy the day with family and
friends, while supporting research right here in Iowa to find a cure!
Route
The ride is a round trip ride beginning at the KC Hall in Washington, IA (606 W 3rd St.) and traveling to Riverside, IA and back to Washington, IA.
