What should public transportation look like in 20 years?

Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority officials answer that
question during aseries of public meetingsthat will look at the future
of transportation in the Des Moines metro.
The meetings begin Monday and continue through Wednesday.
DART
is updating the region’s master plan for public transit that was
adopted in 2011.The meetings will include a short presentation and a
comment period.
Monday
- Noon-1 p.m.:DART Central Station, 620 Cherry St.
- 5-6 p.m.: Hy-Vee, Community Room, 108 Eighth St. S.W., Altoona
- 6-7 p.m.:Des Moines Area Community College Southridge, Room 20C, 1111 E. Army Post Road
Tuesday
- 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; 3-6 p.m.: Jordan Creek Town Center, 101 Jordan Creek Parkway
- 5-6 p.m.: Pleasant Hill Public Library, 5151 Maple Drive, Pleasant Hill
- 6-7 p.m.: Ankeny City Hall, 410 W. First St., Ankeny
Wednesday
- 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: DART Central Station, 620 Cherry St.
- 3-6 p.m.: South Suburban YMCA, 401 E. Army Post Road
- 4:30-5:30 p.m.: Urbandale Public Library, 3520 86th St.
- 5-6 p.m.: North Side Public Library, 3516 Fifth Ave.
- 6-7 p.m.: Johnston Library, 6700 Merle Hay Road
