The Raccoon River Valley Trail Association will hosts its annual
fundraising banquet and auction Saturday at the West Des Moines
Marriott, 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines.The
organization, formed in 2006, markets and promotes the 89-mile-long
paved trail that runs from Jefferson to the Des Moines-metro area. This
is the group’s only fundraiser of the year and the money raised helps
support marketing efforts and special projects along the trail.
The
event begins a 4:45 p.m. with a social gathering, followed by a sit
down dinner and silent and live auctions. Magician Ben Ulin will provide
entertainment.
