Congratulations to the IMBCS award winners

Congratulations to Paul Varnum and Bruce Brown for winning $100 each for the 1st annual IMBCS Bikeiowa.com most improved new rider(s) of the year' award. These racers were chosen for the award by the points they accumulated through out all the IMBCS races throughout the season. These points were compared to last year's points if applicable to determine the most improved racer. The 2006 IMBCS awards banquet was held on Saturday, October 28 at the Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines.

Extra Extra!The weekend got even better for Paul. He took his $100 winnings and bought 5 raffle tickets for a new Specialized Tri-Cross (retail $1800) to be given away the next day at the Iowa Cyclocross Championship Races in Newton. Guess What ?!? Rules Bikeiowa.com sponsored the ‘Bikeiowa.com most improved new racer(s)’ award from the 2006 season. One or more new racers will divvy up a cash award of $200. So, if you’re fairly new to the series and qualified for series overall points (participated in 5 or more IMBCS races), you would be eligible for this award. The winner(s) were voted on by the IMBCS board of directors.
