WEATHER

Looks like it is going to be a GREAT DAY for a Bike Ride!
Do take note that the wind will be a'blowin' and there isn't much of a windbreak along much of the route! Hourly forecast as of 2/1 at 5pm:
Luckily a lot of the recent melting has had a chance to dry up, so road conditions are nice & clear!

OVERALL EVENT TIMING & SUPPORT SERVICES

  • 7:30am - noon: Pop-upBike Shop at Town/Craft (1122 Willis Ave | Perry) thanks to Kyle's Bikes
  • 8am - 1pm:Check-in &Packet Pick-up /Day-of Registration &Merch Salesat Hotel Pattee(1112 Willis Avenue |Perry)
    • *Be sure to Pick-up Event Wristband*
    • NEW: No bikes allowed inside Hotel Pattee unless tagged at check-in as overnight guest - thank you in advance for helping us maintain this beautifully restored historic building!
  • 9am-3pm: Sag Wagon Services along Route thanks to Perry Fire Department & Dallas County Amateur Radio Emergency Services
  • 10am: GROUP START following Announcements and a Moment of Silence onWillis Avenue near 2nd Street
  • 2pm *Riders are encouraged to depart from Rippey no later than 2pm*

As the biggest and "coolest" fundraiser of the year for the Perry Chamber of Commerce, we again THANK YOU for being a part of Perry's 47th Annual Bike Ride to Rippey! We are blown away by the 688 Pre-Registrations + 76 Support the Ride Donations! This has got to be a record rolling into day-of!!

Fun Facts:
  • We welcome 185(!) first time riders this year, along with the many many long time riders (Shout out to Cindy Kreklau - 41 BRRs, Tony Montoya - 40 BRRs, and Fred Eiteman - 39 BRRs) and everyone in between!
  • This year's BRR riders range from 11 years old to 84 years young!
  • It might be time to add a Furthest-Traveling BRR Rider Award, now with 60 Out-of-State Riderscoming from 13 states: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin!
