Even though Monday’s FINAL Connect Downtown vote before City Council is the culmination of years of planning and organizing from a broad coalition of stakeholders: Passage is not a slam dunk. There’s always the possibility for a vote to go sideways.
But, if enough people are willing to spend part of their evening at Monday’s City Council meeting, we will be noticed, and the vote will resoundingly reflect a commitment to safer streets that work better for everyone. You do not need to be a resident of Des Moines to come and show your support!
Connect Downtown: Rebuilding our City for 21st Century success.
Start Time: Regularly scheduled City Council meetings occur at 4:30 PM.
