Staging Locations

Staging Locations are a meeting point for a group of cyclists so they can meet and ride into work as a group on May 15th 2009.

Use the Bike Collective Des Moines-area Commuter Forums or the BIKEIOWA Commuting Forum to discuss the best routes for getting to work.
Create your own route using Google Maps or Map My Ride
Get help from one of the Bike to Work Coordinators (see route help section)

Why join a Staging Group?

Safety - There is safety in numbers. A group of cyclists is easier to see than one.
Camaraderie - Hook up with other cyclists from your area who commute
New to Commuting? - Join a Staging Group to feel more comfortable
Commuting Veteran? Join a Staging Group to help fellow cyclist learn the 'commuting ropes'
Staging Captains Each Staging Location will have a person that will plan the route

Different Staging Locations will leave at different times depending on distance and route. Join or break away from Staging Group at anytime depending on your destination.

Staging Locations are set according to participation and suggestion. If you would like to volunteer to be a Staging Captain, please contact one of the Bike to Work Coordinators.
